The MH Engineering CET 2009 was held on 12th May 2008 as per the Schedule given by DTE.

The Director of Technical (DTE) announced in its news section that students, who want to modify the information in the application from, can do so from 11th May 2009 on the MBA website using their user name and password as provided in the application form,
Further the DTE also notified that Registration and Generation of Call Letter for GDPI will start from 11th May 2009. The Candidate will be able to modify GDPI City and Choose GDPI date.

The MH MCA CET 2009 results were  declared on 4th April 2009, the next step for the students desiring admission to the MCA course is,  to submit all the required documents and get them scrutinized by the ARC officials, and based on the marks obtained provisional lists would be displayed, followed by CAP (Centralized admission process) rounds. The DTE website has also put up the analysis of the results . According to which  15542  students appeared for the exams, and 15342 students qualified for the exam.

1.What is Engg MH -CET ? When is it going to be held?
Common Entrance Test (CET)   is a Entrance Exam conducted for admission to professional Courses  . The government of Maharashtra has notified that this year it would conduct a combined MH- CET 2009 for all Health Science, Engineering, Pharmacy Degree courses. The Entrance Test would be help on 7th May 2009.

2.What is the last date for applying of forms?
The candidates appearing for the qualifying exam (12th ) have to request for the application forms on or before 25th February 2009, Candidates who have cleared their qualifying exam (12th std ) prior to 2009 should contact their college/school from where they passed their exam.

3.When would be the forms available and where?
The Forms would be available from 13th of March 2009 to 25th March 2009, at various junior colleges and Schools. In case a student is not able to collect the form from the junior college or school, s/he can collect the form from Divisional Authority of his/her area.

4.What is the cost of the form?
The form would cost Rs 700 for Open and OMS candidates and Rs 500 for constitutionally reserved candidates.

3.Database Administrator(DBA):  Various large application requires , to store and retrieve data. These data are stored in Databases (DBMS). There is a vast need to manage these databases. The major role here is to create users, backup data, optimize the database for performance, etc. The major option of specialization is Oracle, SQL server, DB2 etc.  Various certifications are possible and provided by the vendors of these products.

4. Software sales:  Many students are not aware about the opportunities available in the software sales department. The software created has to be marketed and sold. Selling of software requires the correct understanding of the domain, the product . Understanding user requirements and approaching right customers. This requires understanding of the software systems. Hence Engineers have good potential in this field too.

5. Application Engineers/ Software trainers: After the software is sold to the customer, adequate training is required by the customer so that he uses the software efficiently, and is a loyal and happy customer. This role is played by the application Engineer/Software trainer.

6. Software support: There would be times where the software doest works as expected or there is some issues at the customer side, this is the time where software support professionals jump in to provide help to the customers. They solve technical queries related to products and process related to the system so that customers do not face any major issues if there is something goes wrong.

The MH-CET 2009 which is a 200 marks paper, has no sections and questions appear in a random order.
